Appalachian Trail: One of 11 National Scenic Trails in the United States. It’s ~2,190 miles long. Its northern terminus is the summit of Mt. Katahdin in Baxter State Park, Maine. Its southern terminus is on the summit of Springer Mountain in northern Georgia. Thru-hiked in 2003, 2015 and 2018.

It all began on Springer Mountain, GA May 11th, 2003
120 days later, I stood on Baxter Peak having completed my first thru-hike. I went home, completely in love with backpacking.

12 Years Later, I was back… Southbound from Mount Katahdin, ME August 1st 2015
This time in an effort to set the self-supported Fastest Known Time on the AT. In the process, quelling my inner demons once and for all.

My 3rd Thru-Hike of the AT was in 2018
As part of my Calendar Year Triple Crown. I completed it as a Flip-flop.
